What We Do
We focus on mentorship that extends beyond traditional tutoring by fostering critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving skills.
How It Works:
• One-on-one mentorship with experienced college students
• Personalized study plans based on proven learning techniques
• Guidance on academic success, productivity, and goal-setting
• Flexible scheduling with on-demand and structured mentorship sessions
BrainThos is designed to help students take ownership of their learning journey, equipping them with the tools to succeed in both academics and life.
Traditional tutoring often focuses solely on short-term results. BrainThos is different because it emphasizes long-term success through mentorship, strategy, and applied learning.
BrainThos is redefining education by making mentorship an essential part of the learning process.
My name is Matt and I am the founder of BrainThos. I grew up in Bergen County, NJ and spend most of my time on a baseball field or with family and friends. I was fortunate enough to play collegiate baseball for two years. I now play tennis for my colleges club team, and am the head coach for a club baseball team. I have always had a passion for teaching, and helping ones younger then me avoid the struggles I went through.
I was a very troubled student until the end of High School. I never found much interest in what was being learned and frequently fell behind. As a result my parents would find me tutors but I was never able to relate to any of them personally. I wished that there was a way I could just find a college student that related to me because it would make learning way more fun. I decided that I want to create something, where students like me could find someone with similar interests and knows what its like to be in my shoes even if it went beyond the classroom. Then BrainThos was born.
